Information Security Policy

It is the policy of The Pennsylvania Trust Company (the “Company”) to ensure the security and confidentiality of customer information, protect against any anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of such information, protect against unauthorized access to or use of customer information that could either result in substantial harm or inconvenience to any customer, or present a safety and soundness risk to the Company.

A. Confidentiality
Information about the Company, its affiliates, customers, suppliers and employees obtained by virtue of employment with the Company is confidential and must be treated as such. Disclosure of confidential information to unauthorized persons outside the Company is prohibited.

B. Accountability
It is the policy of the Company to treat all information regarding its customers in strictest confidence. Failure to maintain the confidentiality of this information will result in corrective action, up to and including immediate dismissal.

We collect nonpublic personal information about clients from the following sources:

  1. Information we receive from clients on applications or other forms.
  2. Information about client transactions with us.

 

We will not disclose any nonpublic information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about clients to only those employees who have a need to know that information in order to provide products or services to our clients.

The Company will comply with federal standards to guard nonpublic personal information.

We may disclose information to companies that perform custodial services and or record keeping services for the Company. The entities that the Company uses for outsourcing have implemented an effective information security program to protect customer information systems.

C. Website
Use of the Company’s website, www.penntrust.com, is available to the public. Information about the public’s use of the website will be recorded in the Web server access log files. The log file record does not include any personally identifiable information; we collect this data for aggregate statistics and server performance monitoring.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States .
